gras chair & floating water stream foot stool

This project, which I carried out while still at KISD, dealt with private space, which at that time, at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, had become more important than it had been for a long time. I asked myself what experiences I would be denied, what I would not be able to experience in my personal space, if the first curfews and restrictions were imposed, preventing people from meeting freely with whomever they wanted, whenever they wanted. I decided to design a chair and a footstool that would give me the feeling of sitting on a meadow by a river, dangling my legs in the water. While I was designing and watching the chair grow, I realised how exciting the relationship between me and the chair had become, as it was more important to me that the grass grew well on the chair than that I had a good time sitting on it, and I still remember this relationship between a person and an object as something special.
